Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to the Fairfield website. We hope that this site will help to further strengthen our links with parents and the community that we are proud to serve.

Fairfield is a successful school: We were awarded the Department for Education School Achievement Award for every year of its existence; we have been awarded the Basic Skills Mark three times and our wider curriculum has been recognised through the Arts Mark and the Sport England Active Mark. Our results in national assessments are “significantly above” national expectations and a recent OFSTED inspection found us to be “Good with Outstanding Features.”

Much of our recent success has come as a result of improvements we have made in the key area of reading. These improvements were achieved through the linking of the dedication and expertise of teaching staff with the hard work, enthusiasm and knowledge of children and their parents. It is hoped that this website will be a key tool in enabling us to extend this sharing of the learning experience to other areas of school life and that it will open the doors of the entire curriculum to our community.

Our website will improve communication and should give instant access to our policies and procedures and will provide links to places on the web where learning can be enhanced to an even greater degree. It will take some time to fully establish all of the information that we hope to have available and so we ask for your patience.
