THURSDAY NEWSLETTER – 10TH JUNE 2010

Dear Parents

GOLDEN SHOE CHALLENGE

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!  Thanks to all who helped and well done to everyone who walked to school during “walk to school” week.  We achieved 91.5%  of children walking in that week, 0.7% higher than Greenmount who came second.  We have won a display from the bike trials display team later in the term.

I do hope that we can sustain this very healthy way of getting to school and I will be sending news about a “Walking Bus” in the next few weeks.

Thanks to Miss Caine for co-ordinating our challenge.

BEFORE SCHOOL

On grounds of health and safety please can I remind you of our strict policy that staff cannot see parents before school.  We value our contact with parents and so if there is a problem before or straight after school please make an appointment to see me.  If it is urgent myself or Mrs Johnson will see you immediately.

Similarly please do not go onto the playground.  If your child has forgotten something we will get it to them.
